Al Asmakh Logistics Park Managed by GWC
GWC and Al Asmakh Real Estate Development have signed a Management Agreement that will bring the Al Asmakh Logistics Park under the management of GWC for the 22-year period between 2018 – 2040. The signing has taken place at the GWC Headquarters in D-Ring Road, Doha, and was signed by GWC Group CEO Mr. Ranjeev Menon and Mr. Hassan Ibrahim Al Asmakh, Vice President and CEO of Al Asmakh Real Estate Development Company, in the presence of representatives from the Economic Zones Company (Manateq), among other officials and media representatives.
Strategically located in the growing North Doha districts, the Al Asmakh Logistics Park boasts a number of features specifically tailored to serve the needs of the nation’s small and medium enterprise sector (SMEs).
GWC Chairman Sheikh Abdullah bin Fahad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani stated: “We are honored to enter this Management Agreement with Al Asmakh, the real-estate giants of Qatar, and to extend to them the trust that GWC gained from the Government and private sectors alike, is the backbone for ensuring the success and maximized utilization of Al Asmakh Logistics Park.”
With GWC undertaking the management of Al Asmakh Logistics Park, the business community will directly benefit from GWC’s expertise in providing unparalleled logistical support for more than a decade.
Mr. Ibrahim Hassan Al Asmakh, President of Al Asmakh Real Estate Development company stated: “entering this agreement with GWC, the leaders of logistics services, will further enhance the delivery of the project’s objectives to the end-user. Al Asmakh Real Estate Development company have developed a logistics park over an area of 496,410 square meters, offering various storage solutions, including: 111,329 square meters of dry warehousing; 32,067 square meters of air-conditioned warehousing; 31,618 square meters of chilled warehousing; 13,916 square meters of frozen warehousing; and 17,604 square meters of open yard storage. To ensure the creation of a self-contained, harmonious, business community, Al Asmakh also included in the design of the park various amenities, including a community centre, accommodation buildings, and a mosque. For ease of access, the park features sufficient parking for clients and guests, while security is maintained through measures active around the clock.

The GWC Bu Sulba Warehousing Park and Al Asmakh Logistics Park were among the pioneering Qatari companies / private sector to be awarded lands for the purpose of developing specialized warehousing parks, dedicated to serve SMEs, the awards came as part of manateq’s efforts to establish strong economic zones, creating solid infrastructure in which the SMEs can prosper and grow.
