Gulf Warehousing Company Named Logistics Company of the Year for Third Consecutive Year
Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC) continues to impress as it received yet another Arabian Business Achievement Award, the third consecutive award in the space of three years and the second award received by the company in 2012. Rajeswar Govindan, CFO of GWC, graciously accepted the award handed to him by the Managing Director of ITP publishing, Karam Awad, during a ceremony on September 24th, 2012 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Doha.
The event, organized for the third time by the region’s leading business magazine publisher ITP, highlights the excellent contributions of leading organizations in Qatar, and focuses on market aptitude, innovative products or superior strategy with positive market impact. The selection process came down to the numbers, according to the judging committee: With the largest team specialized in supply chain management and credited with the success of Logistics Village Qatar, the 1 million square meter logistics hub accessible to the entire state of Qatar, the judges found Gulf Warehousing Company to be “heads and shoulders above the rest.”
Gulf Warehousing Company has entrenched itself as an essential component of Qatar’s infrastructure for a wide variety of businesses and industries in the state. As it expands into a regional powerhouse, it keeps its aim to remain a market leader through its strategic use of talented individuals and updated technology, with Logistics Village Qatar as the ultimate testament of this aim. “We are immensely proud that, for three years running, our efforts and commitment to provide a customer experience that constantly goes beyond expectation, as well as offering well-rounded, personalized solutions that meet all client needs in unparalleled facilities, have been recognized,” said Mr. Govindan after the event.
