Gulf Warehousing Company Signs Deal with Lulu Hypermarket
Lulu Hypermarket has signed a contract with Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC) for warehousing solutions utilizing the letter’s state-of-the-art Logistics Village Qatar ( LVQ ) facility.
The hypermarket will run its consolidated warehousing operations from the 15,000 sqm facility, managing all its inbound, pick/pack and delivery services to all outlets in the country. GWC will support hypermarket’s supply chain innovation programme from the LVQ facility.
Lulu operates some 93 hypermarkets and stores in almost all major cities of the GCC region, Yemen and Egypt. Lulu serves more than 435,000 shoppers a day making it the most popular hypermarket/supermarket for the vast multi-ethnic and divergent population of the region.
Mohamed Althaf, Lulu regional director ( Qatar & Egypt ), said: Lulu chose GWC as its logistics partner taking into consideration GWC’s ability to offer an excellent integrated logistics solutions.
“This facility will enable us consolidate our operations and we will also benefit from the economies of proximity with our suppliers,” Althaf said.

GWC provides end-to-end design, implementation and operational solutions in contract logistics , transportation and freight management to large and medium-sized national and multinational companies.
GWC employs about 1,200 people and runs an extensive network of warehouses in Doha.
