GWC in pact to set up firm in Saudi Arabia
Gulf Warehousing Company ( GWC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Saudi-based Al Othman Holding for setting up a limited liability logistics company in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
The two partners will join forces to establish a multi-purpose logistics village in Dammam similar to the Logistics Village Qatar. The MoU was signed in Doha by GWC’s Chairman of the Board Mohamed Ismail al-Emadi and Al Othman Holding’s Vice Chairman of the Board Abdullah Mohamed al-Othman, in the presence of GWC’s Managing Director, Board Member, and Acting Group CEO Abdulaziz Zeid Rashid al-Taleb.
“This project represents a turning point in our company’s journey,” explained GWC chairman Mohamed Ismail al-Emadi. “It is a point of pride for us to share our successful experiences with the Logistics Village Qatar with new international partners. It is our pleasure to act as commercial and economic ambassadors for the State of Qatar as we move forward on this project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
