GWC Lifts 180 Ton Auxiliary Boiler
GWC (Q.P.S.C), the leading logistics provider in the State of Qatar, has completed the transport of a 180-ton auxiliary boiler on behalf of Qatar Fertilizer Company (QAFCO), shipping it from Italy through to Messaieed port to the client location.
“We are proud of this achievement and for delivering our clients’ requirements seamlessly.” Stated GWC Group CEO Mr. Ranjeev Menon. “GWC’s abilities and experience in handling the movement of over-size cargos have engendered trust in the industry for handling even the biggest machinery, positioning us as the provider of choice for these services.” He added.
GWC’s vast experience in project logistics and heavy lifts have allowed for the safe and timely transport of QAFCO’s cargo, overcoming challenges and difficulties throughout.
With a mass of nearly 740 cubic meters (dimensions: 10.90 X 7.22 X 9.36 meters), the boiler is a highly delicate piece of machinery despite its large size. After careful planning and coordination, the company performed the lift at Messaieed port, placing it on a specialized trailer, and then transporting it through a pre-plotted course after completing clearance for the shipment.

The company’s specialized single-point control system allows for full coordination of the project from source to destination, offering 24/7 online tracking of cargo. A risk management team oversees operations to assure safety compliance is being adhered to at every step. This continued standard of reliability has GWC the provider of the choice for the oil and gas, energy and water desalination sectors, as well as support for offshore provision companies, among many more.
