Seasonal Honey Market at Souq Waqif from March 21

Souq Waqif, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), will organise the ‘Seasonal Honey Market’ from March 21 to 27.

Souq Waqif has announced the opening of free registration for local firms and foreign companies specialised in the “production, supply and distribution of honey” in order to participate in the market.

The seasonal honey market aims to support national products, bolster trade and open new commercial channels for traders, entrepreneurs and investors in addition to supporting small and medium enterprises.

It is the largest specialised exhibition for honey of different kinds and offers local and Arab companies the opportunity to display and promote their products and goods related to the trade and production of honey.

As part of efforts to support and encourage companies to participate in the market, the organisers have coordinated with Qatar Airways (QA) to provide a 40 percent discount on air cargo charges. Gulf Warehousing Company is also offering free transportation of goods from shipping containers to warehouses as well as free storage for participants.

The participation of foreign companies in the market provides the local companies with an opportunity to find new markets for their honey products by entering into partnership agreements with them. The seasonal honey market, which coincides with the Souq Waqif Spring Festival, is expected to be a great success thanks to its location in Souq Waqif, one of the leading touristic sites in Qatar.
